About the structure of the Bench Vise

The structure of Bench Vise is composed of clamp body, base, lead nut, lead screw, jaw body and so on. The movable clamp body is slidingly matched with the guide rail of the fixed clamp body through the guide rail. The lead screw is mounted on the movable clamp body, which can be rotated but cannot move axially, and is matched with the lead screw nut installed in the fixed clamp body.

When the handle is shaken to rotate the lead screw, the movable clamp body can be driven to move axially relative to the fixed clamp body to clamp or loosen. The spring is fixed on the lead screw by means of a retaining ring and a split pin, and its function is to make the movable clamp body withdraw in time when the lead screw is loosened. Steel jaws are installed on the fixed clamp body and the movable clamp body and fixed with screws.

The working surface of the jaws is made with crossed mesh, so that the workpiece is not easy to slide after being clamped. The jaws are hardened by heat treatment and have good wear resistance. The fixed clamp body is mounted on the swivel base and can rotate around the axis of the swivel base. When turning to the required direction, pull the clamping handle to tighten the clamping screw, and then the clamp can be fixed under the action of the clamping disc. Tighten the pliers. There are three bolt holes on the swivel base for fixing with the clamp table.
